Yvette (Houle) Normandin, 82, of Hopedale, and formerly of Waterbury, CT and Sarasota, FL, died peacefully in Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a brief illness. She was the wife of J. Maurice Normandin.
Mrs. Normandin was born in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Oscar and Florentine (Bernier) Houle. She lived many years in Waterbury, where she was the office manager for Visiting Nurse Association. She cherished her 27 winters in Florida and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who recently moved to Hopedale to be closer to family.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, she leaves three sons, Mark Normandin and his wife Sharon of Plymouth, CT, David Normandin and his wife Cynthia of Hopedale, and Keith Normandin and his wife Susan of Thomaston, CT; a daughter, Yvette Whitesell of Hopedale; three sisters, Lillian Drolet of N. Smithfield, RI, Mary Bellerive of Watertown, CT, and Estelle Zaccagnini of Naugatuck, CT; two brothers, Charles Houle of Watertown, CT and Robert Houle of So. Windsor, CT; and eight grandchildren, Stephen, Sarah, Marc, Eric, and Emily Normandin, Danielle Cann, and Sean and Ryan Whitesell. She was also the sister of the late Janet LeTarte and Simone Houle.

Service Details
Following cremation, a memorial mass will be celebrated
in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 187 Hopedale St., Hopedale,
at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 12.
Burial will be in Florida at a later date.
At her request there are no calling hours.
