Winifred R. (Heffernan) Guyette, 86, of Upton, died early Monday, November 2, 2009, in St. Camillus Nursing Home in Northbridge after a period of declining health. She was the widow of Alfred F. Guyette, who died in 1967.
Born in Grafton, she was a daughter of the late Charles J. and Winifred L. (McDonald) Heffernan. She attended local schools and graduated with honors from Grafton High School. She attended Becker Junior College in Worcester and had lived in Grafton until moving to Upton in the mid 1950s. She worked as a bookkeeper for several years and later as office manager at the Henley Kimball Co. in Worcester. She then was a staff accountant for Perini Corporation in Framingham for twenty years until retiring and working as a consultant for the same company for a short time.
Mrs. Guyette was a member of the Daughters of Isabella at St. James Parish in South Grafton and a communicant of Holy Angels Parish in Upton.
She leaves one daughter, Charlene E. Petracca, and a granddaughter, Kaylin Marie Petracca, both of Upton; a sister, Margaret C. Gauthier and her husband Robert of Millbury; five nieces and eight nephews. She was also the sister of the late Charles T. Heffernan of Grafton and Mary E. Lebel of North Grafton.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 7, at 10 a.m
in Holy Angels Church, 1 Milford Street, Upton.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, North Main Street, Upton.
