Theresa Y. (Fontaine) Brochu

UPTON - Theresa Y. (Fontaine) Brochu, 80, of Upton, died early Friday, October 28, 2005 at the Hospice Residence on Coes Pond in Worcester after a very courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was the wife of Camil A. Brochu, to whom she was married for 57 years.
Mrs. Brochu was born in Morrisville, VT, the daughter of the late Ovila and Malvina (Page) Fontaine. She lived in Hardwick, VT before coming to Upton in 1950. Throughout her working career, she worked for Ware Knitters in Hardwick, Paul Hat Co. in Worcester, as a cafeteria worker at Nipmuc Regional High School in Mendon, as a hostess at The Deck Restaurant in Mendon, and for the former Rachelle's Childrens Clothing Store in Westborough. She was a communicant of Holy Angels Parish in Upton, where she was a past president of the Altar Sodality and a former CCD teacher. She also served as a Cub Scout leader in Upton for several years.
Theresa's greatest enjoyment was the time shared with her family and friends, and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and times spent at the family camps in Reading and Concord, VT.
In addition to her husband, she leaves two sons, James A. Brochu and his wife Lisa of Upton and Robert C. Brochu and his wife Sandy of Whitinsville; three grandchildren, Lindsey and Danny Brochu of Upton and Ryan Brochu of Whitinsville; and one sister, Rita LaPerle of Burlington, VT. She was also the sister of the late Conrad, Harvey, and Charlie Fontaine, and Angie Brochu.
