Teresa A. (Cerreto) Cooley, Age 100

Teresa A. (Cerreto) Cooley, of Hopedale, passed away peacefully at the age of 100 on Monday, March 31st, 2025, at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home in Medway, MA, after a visit with several of her granddaughters. Teresa was born on March 2nd, 1925, in Millers Falls village of Montague, MA, to the late Frank and Catherine (Toscano) Cerreto. At the age of two, Teresa was welcomed into the home of Jennie Carini and her sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Jim Bradley in Milford, MA, where she grew up.

Teresa was first employed at William Knowlton & Sons hat factory in Upton, MA where she met and married the love of her life, Army Staff Sergeant Richard M. Cooley in 1944. She worked for many years as an accountant at GAF in Millis until she retired. Teresa had a strong sense of faith and adventure. In her retirement, she loved spending time with her dearest friends and family and antiquing in various places around Massachusetts. Teresa was an active and faithful worshiper at Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale and True Light Christian Church in Milford. She always had a lot of energy and often spent time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who lived nearby.

Teresa is predeceased by her husband Richard, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage. She is also predeceased by her daughter Maureen Ambrogi and her son-in-law Richard MacKinnon. She leaves behind her daughter Kathleen MacKinnon of Salem, MA; three grandsons, Scott, Jay and wife Kyla, and Matthew MacKinnon and wife Emily; five granddaughters, Debra Gravel, Lisa Reynolds and husband Jim, Johnna Cooley, Jennifer L. Cenedella and husband David, and Amanda Cooley. Also, seven great-grandsons, Nicholas Greene, Anthony Milani, Micah MacKinnon, Ryan Cenedella, Joshua MacKinnon, Gabriel MacKinnon, and Elijah MacKinnon; three great-granddaughters, Melissa Gravel, Danielle Reynolds and husband Cory, and Danielle Cintron and husband Dan; and six great-great grandchildren, Connor Kvingedal, Brenden Frediani, Caylee Norton, Willow Reynolds, Lincoln Reynolds and Ethan Cintron.

Her funeral Mass will be held at 12 Noon, on Saturday, April 12, in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale, MA 01747. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton.

A calling hour will be held prior to the funeral Mass from 10:45 to 11:45 A.M. in the church.
