Shirley T. (Clark) Caputo
July 30, 1924 — January 13, 2015
Shirley T. (Clark) Caputo, 90, of Westborough and formerly of Upton, died early Tuesday, January 13, 2015 after a period of declining health. Her husband of 57 years, Francis L. Caputo, died in 2001.
Mrs. Caputo was born in Beacon, NY, a daughter of the late H. Homer and Frances (Freeman) Clark. She was a 1943 graduate of the former Upton High School and had lived in Upton most of her life until moving to Westborough three years ago. She was a member of the United Parish of Upton, where she served for ten years on the Diaconate Board and the Parish Council. She also enjoyed sewing and was a 30-year volunteer at Milford Hospital.
She leaves five children, Dennis Caputo of TX, Dinah Caputo of Westborough, Darryl Caputo of Cambridge, NY, Lance Caputo of Olympia, WA, and Garrett Caputo of Rifle, CO; 26 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Elgar and David Clark and Gretchen Hammond.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Parish of Upton, Box 382, Upton, MA 01568.
