Sheila T. Currie

Sheila T. Currie, 84, of Upton, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2024, at UMass Memorial University Campus in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Currie.

Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada, Sheila was the daughter of the late John and Bella (Meechan) Ferguson. Raised in Canada, she continued her education after moving to the United States, where she proudly became a U.S. citizen in the 1970s.

Sheila dedicated many years to her career in pathology at Beth Israel Hospital, where she was highly regarded for her work.

She is survived by her son and two cherished grandchildren, who brought great joy to her life.

A private burial will take place in Connecticut.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Sheila’s name be made through an act of kindness to someone in need, honoring her compassionate spirit.
