Robert Karl Sanderson

Robert Karl Sanderson, 75, of Upton, died Saturday, May 16, 2009 at his daughter's home after an illness.
Mr. Sanderson was born in Upton, a son of the late Charles E. and Dorothy G. (Burroughs) Sanderson, and had lived in Upton for most of his life. He was a graduate of Grafton High School, served a tour of duty with the U.S. Army, and worked for GE Telechron in Ashland for over 30 years until retiring in 1991.
He leaves his daughter, Cynthia Arena and her husband Sal, with whom he lived; a brother, Donald Sanderson of Garland, TX; a sister, Joyce Slavin of Mendon; two grandsons, Brandon Arena and his wife Crystal, and Logan Arena; and a great-granddaughter, Rosemary Arena. He was also the grandfather of Ryan Arena, who died in 2004, and the brother of Charles E. Sanderson, Jr., who died in 1998.
Burial was in the Sanderson family lot in Union Cemetery in Bellingham.
