Robert J. Pomfred

Robert J. Pomfred, 67, formerly of Upton and Hopedale, and recently of Beaumont Nursing Center in Northbridge, died Friday, October 21, 2016 in Milford Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health. His wife, Cecile (Rogers) Pomfred, died in May.
Robert was born in Framingham, son of the late Clarence and Ruth (Colburn) Pomfred. He was a 1968 graduate of Framingham North High School and had worked in shipping and receiving at Dennison Mfg. in Framingham for 18 years. He also worked at the former Friendly's restaurant in Framingham for 10 years. A communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Upton, he was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and an avid fan of the NE Patriots.
He leaves a sister, Mary Iram and her husband Robert of Grafton; two nephews, Derek Iram of Webster and Thomas Iram of Grafton; and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Thibeault and her husband Gerard of Sutton.

Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
A calling hour at the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton,
will be from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the Mass on Thursday.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 27, at 10 a.m.in St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon Street, Upton.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
