Robert A. Lambert, 86, of Upton, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2009, at his home on Eames Lane.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley A. (Higgins) Lambert; two children, Shirley A. Taylor of Pascoag, RI, and David M. Lambert and his wife Jarilyn of Liberty, SC; three grandchildren, Wendy Throop of Atlanta, GA, Stacey Auger of Bolton, and Jeff Taylor of Worcester; and three great-grandchildren.
Bob was a native of Worcester, the son of the late Wilbrod and Lillian (Cabana) Lambert and grandson of the late Caroline Cabana. An Upton resident for 51 years, he owned and operated Lambert Auto Sales & Service at 90 Main Street for many years. He was a former member of the Upton Finance Committee and served the town as a special police officer. A Navy veteran of World War II, he served a second tour of duty at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, during the Korean Conflict.

Funeral services Saturday, January 17, at 10 a.m.
in the funeral home at 45 Main Street, Upton.
Burial in Maplewood Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family in the spring.
