UPTON - Robert F. Earl, 77, of Upton, died Tuesday evening, February 14, 2006 at Milford Regional Medical Center after being stricken at home. He had struggled with Parkinson's Disease for several years. He was the husband of Norma A. (Sandstrom) Earl, to whom he was married for 55 years.
Born in Milford, he was a son of the late Henry E. and Lena M. (Piddington) Earl. He attended Boys' Trade High School in Worcester and served with the Army shortly after World War II. He was a lifelong resident of Upton, where he was a past president of the former Upton Kiwanis Club, a past commander of the George L. Wood VFW Post, and had served on the Zoning Board of Appeals. He enjoyed traveling and spent winters in Mount Dora, FL for many years.
Mr. Earl worked for Home National Bank in Milford for 20 years, retiring in 1990. He previously was co-owner of E & R Painting Co. of Upton for 15 years.
In addition to his wife; he leaves three sons, James R. and his wife Linda, Jeffrey P. and his wife Holly, and Steven J. and his wife Rita; and three grandchildren, Eric, Kevin, and Marquis Earl, all of Upton; and many nieces and nephews. Another son, Robert F. Earl, Jr. died in 1993. He was also the brother of the late Henry Earl, Jr., George Earl, and Edythe Burns.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the VNA of Greater Milford, 25 Birch St., Milford 01757 or to the Upton Ambulance Fund, Box 29, Upton 01568.

Funeral services Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home with the Rev. Jan Gregory-Charpentier officiating.
Burial in Maplewood Cemetery in West Upton in the spring.
