Richene E. Mcnamara

January 7, 1950 — February 28, 2021

MILFORD

Richene E. “Richie” McNamara, 71, of Milford and formerly of Upton, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at her home.  She was the cherished partner of 20 years to the late Michael Corrinet.

Born in Worcester, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Mullen) Andrews.  She was raised and educated in the Worcester area.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. McNamara was employed as a front-end teller for Shaw’s and the former Iandoli Grocery Stores for 30 years.  She also worked part time for several years at Macs Package Store. Early in her career, she worked as a Bartender at several local establishments including Pine Ridge Country Club in Upton, Tradesman in Milford and the Red Barn in Westboro.

Richie enjoyed reading Stephen King novels, spending time with her family and friends and was a devoted Nana to her grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. As a young girl she spent many winters skiing Mt.Snow with her parents, brothers and sister. She would always say she was the best! Later in life summer weather was her love and she enjoyed spending time at the beach, soaking up the sun. You would always see Richie wearing her flip flops right through the fall! Old Silver Beach in Falmouth was her favorite and she enjoyed many great times with her love Michael Corrinet there, then later with her grandchildren. She was a hard worker, honest and dependable. It seemed like most of the area knew her as she spoke to so many people while working at Shaws. She enjoyed talking to all her friends and customers.

She is survived by her son, James McNamara and his wife Lisa, of Upton; her grandchildren, Justin and Jessica McNamara of Upton; her brother, James Andrews of Maine; her former husband, James E. McNamara of Worcester; her aunt, Marguerite White of Marlborough; and her nieces and nephews, Jackie Mathieu, Joei Andrews Roache, and Maralee Modesta Clarke.

She is predeceased by her siblings, Robin Andrews and Richard “Dickie” Andrews.
