Richard "Dick" Blake Stanley, 75, of Hudson, FL, and formerly of Upton, died early Sunday, August 30, 2009, in his home after a short illness. He was the husband of Lola Ann (Faini) Stanley.
Mr. Stanley was born in Danforth, ME, a son of the late Myron and Gladys (Gilpatrick) Stanley. He moved to Framingham from Maine in 1941 and graduated from Framingham High School's vocational program in 1951. He lived in Upton for 50 years before moving to Florida in 2005.
During his career, Dick worked at Tomkins Corporation in Whitinsville, Draper Corporation in Hopedale until its closing, and at Fenwal in Ashland. He also owned a cutter grinding company and a gear manufacturing company, Lampin Corporation in Hopkinton. Dick was a skilled woodworking craftsman, an avid golfer, hunter, and loved the outdoors.
In addition to his wife of 57 years, he leaves one daughter, Dale O'Connell and her husband Patrick of Grafton; a son, Richard Stanley and his wife Joanne of Northbridge; and four grandchildren, Britta and Patrick O'Connell, Travis Stanley and his wife Jenna, Jesse Stanley and his wife Natalie, and one great-grandchild. He also leaves a sister, Sheila Casali, and a sister-in-law, Helen Stanley, both of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Donald and a sister Linda.

Service Details
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. in the
Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
