Pauline (Kessler) Monica, 98, of Milford, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in Blaire House of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the widow of Savino Monica, who died in 1986 after 49 years of marriage.
Mrs. Monica was born in Lanesboro, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Wagner) Kessler. She attended Hoosick Falls schools and Berkshire Business College and had worked as a telephone operator for General Electric in Pittsfield before coming to Milford in 1937. She later worked as a stitcher at Anthony Roberts in Milford for several years, retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Milford.
She leaves one daughter, Anita L. Cilley and her husband William A., of Upton; two grandsons, William D. "Dan" Cilley and his wife Meghan of Northbridge and Christopher J. Cilley and his wife Carrie of Upton; and three great-grandchildren, Reese Cilley of Northbridge and Monica and Nicole Cilley of Upton. She was also the sister of the late Joseph and Henry Kessler.

Private graveside services in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford
