Patricia D. (Donahue) Webster

July 2, 1941 — August 4, 2014

Patricia D. (Donahue) Webster, 73, of Upton, died peacefully at home early Monday, August 4, 2014 after a long battle with MS. She was the wife of Paul B. Webster.

Pat was born in Framingham, the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Sharmon (Swett) Donahue. She lived in Newton before coming to Upton in 1962, where she made a home for her family in the house she loved surrounded by her gardens.

Patricia's love of literature led the way for her to earn her associate's and then bachelor's degree from Framingham State after raising her children. Working at Weston Nurseries in Hopkinton for several years deepened her passion and lifelong love of everything green. She enjoyed many years exploring the Cape Cod Canal and its surrounding areas, many times with her beloved dog Duney by her side. For many years Pat was an active hospice volunteer, keeping in contact with the many families she comforted.

In addition to her husband of 52 years, she leaves one son, Justin Webster and his wife Darlene of Hopkinton; three daughters, Emily Crane and her husband John of Sutton, Stephanie Sutcliffe and her fiancé Marcel Lussier of Woonsocket, RI, and Laura Webster of Uxbridge; 7 grandchildren: Amanda, Allison, Lindsay, Shanleigh, Anna, Eli, and John; a great-granddaughter, Aubrey; a devoted friend, Arlene Kimball of Upton; many nieces, nephews and cousins; numerous compassionate caregivers; and her faithful Corgi Nalia.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Baypath Humane Society, 5 Rafferty Road, Hopkinton 01748.
