Patricia S. Dobrowolski

Patricia S. Dobrowolski, 65, of Upton, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of Christopher Z. Dobrowolski.

Born in Winchester, MA, she was the daughter of the late L. Warren and Mary (Perzanowski) Shepard. She was raised and educated in North Reading and Southington, CT and was a graduate of Southington High School. She also earned an associate degree in fashion and marketing from Endicott College in Beverley.

Patricia worked for Filenes, Eastern Airlines, Kaufman & Harlow and, most recently, was a popular clerk for Shaw’s Supermarket, where she enjoyed keeping up with her customer-friends and their families. She was devoted to her family, homeschooling her children for over 12 years. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and lit up any room she walked into. She was quick with a smile and a laugh, and she was fun to be around. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Church and enjoyed praying the Rosary daily with her on-line prayer group.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Hamel and her husband, Andrew, of New Bedford and Victoria Dobrowolski of Upton, three sisters, Diane Siniscalchi, Mary Lou Glad and her husband, John, and Kathleen Shepard and her husband Nicholas Cafardi, a grandson, Xavier Hamel and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother James Shepard.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 21, at 9:00 A.M. in St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon St., Upton. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.

Calling hours at the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton, are Friday from 5 to 7 P.M.
