Norma Jean Sylvester

Norma Jean Sylvester, 69, of Medway, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the Milford Regional Medical Center.

Born in Milford, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Leila (Littlehale) Coutu.

Norma was employed for many years as a cook for the Medfield State Hospital and as a clerk at Joann’s Fabrics.

She enjoyed crafting, making cloths and quilts, and baking cakes.   She cherished the time she spent with family and friends.

Norma is survived by her devoted significant other, David Kane, Sr. of Medway, her siblings, Frances Robinson, Joanne Field, Edward Coutu, Thomas Coutu, Terri Anne Desnoyers, Mark Coutu, Rochelle Coutu, and Russell Coutu, and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her two sons, Jason Sylvester and David Kane, Jr., and her sister, Florence Shepard.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, October 20, in the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main St. Upton.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 19, from 4 to 6 PM in the funeral home.
