Michael R. Bates, Sr.

Michael Robert Bates, 66, of Upton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on February 19, 2025. Born on August 21, 1958, in Milford, Massachusetts, he was the beloved son of Ormond Arnold Bates and Agnes Elizabeth (Jacob) Bates.

Mike cherished the time spent raising his two sons, Michael Robert Bates Jr. and John Mauro Bates. He took great pride in welcoming his two grandchildren, Savannah Camille Bates and Olivia Fae Bates, into the family.

Throughout his life, Mike lived with a spirit of kindness, laughter, and a deep love for his family. He created lasting memories with those he held dear, and his warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

As we honor the memory of Michael R. Bates, we celebrate the love he shared, the values he instilled, and the joy he brought into the lives of so many.
