Maxine F. (Heavner) Marin

August 22, 1923 — December 15, 2014

Maxine F. (Heavner) Marin, 91, of Hopkinton, died Monday, December 15, 2014, in Countryside Healthcare in Milford. Her husband of 61 years, Victor H. Marin, died in 2009.

Mrs. Marin was born in Berryburg, WV, a daughter of the late Goff and Lacie (Mick) Heavner. She grew up in West Virginia, and had lived in Hopkinton for over 60 years. She worked at the former Kartiganer Hat Company in West Upton, and then for General Electric/Timex in Ashland for many years.

She leaves four children, Linda M. Rice and her husband Kevin of Worcester, Ronald D. Marin and his wife Pamela of Medway, Robert E. Marin and his fiancée Kathleen Caouette of Natick, and Janet K. Blethen and her husband David of Hopkinton; a brother, Goff Heavner, Jr. of Holliston; one sister, Jean Kampfhenkel of No. Uxbridge; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Homer Heavner, and five sisters, Mildred Crites, Reeta Heavner, Shirley Carbone, Wilda Moulton, and her twin Geraldine Koprusak.

Service Details

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, at 11 a.m.
in the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton.

Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Maple Ave., West Upton.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, December 18, from 7 to 9 p.m.
