Matthew D. Deiana, 35, of Leavenworth, KS, formerly of Upton, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
Born in Framingham, he was a son of Edward Jr. and Paula (Powell) Deiana of Upton. He was raised and educated in Upton and was a graduate of Blackstone Valley Technical High School.
Matthew proudly served in the United States Army from 2013 to 2018. After serving in the Army, Matthew graduated from Highland Community College with his Associate’s Degree in Diesel Technology. Most recently, Matthew was pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree with Pittsburgh State.
He has been employed as a heavy equipment diesel technician for several years. Matt loved sports, dirt biking, street bikes, fishing, days at the lake, and always adventurous to travel new places and experience cuisine.
Matt was a very proud dad and loved his children to eternity; everyone he loved, he loved deeply. He was always the light of any function or event.
In addition to his beloved parents, he is survived by his children Xavier and Zander Deiana of Easton, KS, his brother Edward Deiana III and his wife Kaitlyn of Upton, his nephew and niece Waylon and Olivia Deiana of Upton, grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton, MA, will be held privately with his family.
For family and friends, all are welcome to attend a Celebration of Remembrance from 12 to 4 P.M. on Saturday, July 29, at the Deiana Residence in Upton, MA.
