Mary E. (Ferrucci) Smith

November 22, 1917 — March 24, 2012

Mary E. (Ferrucci) Smith, 94, of Upton, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Franklin on Saturday, March 24, 2012. She was the wife of Raymond K. Smith.

Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Leonarda (Lamedica) Ferrucci and was a graduate of Milford High School.

Mary worked at the Cushing Hospital in Framingham as a nurse's aide prior to her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Church. She enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, traveling with her husband and grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mary Ellen Santelices of Franklin; one son, Raymond P. Smith of Upton; one sister, Dora Bracci of Milford; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was the sister of the late Jennie Salvia and Patrick Ferrucci.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 27, from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon St., Upton. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Upton.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, March 26, from 5 to 8 P.M.
