Mary (Marsney) Rosengren, 94, of Upton and formerly of South Boston, died late Sunday, May 6, 2007 in Blaire House in Milford after a short illness. She was the wife of Wayne Rosengren, who died in 1995 after 57 years of marriage.
Mrs. Rosengren was born in Boston, a daughter of the late John and Pauline (Atamanchuck) Marsney. She graduated from South Boston High School and lived in South Boston before coming to Upton in 1995, where she was a communicant of Holy Angels Parish.
Mary worked at Jordan Marsh in Boston for several years. She was a member, past president, and secretary of the Martin F. McDonough American Legion Post 368 Auxiliary in South Boston, and a member, secretary, and treasurer of the 8 & 40 Organization.
She leaves one daughter, Marilyn Hamm Poirier, wife of Henry J. "Sonny" Poirier, of Upton; four grandchildren, Lloyd Hamm, Jr. of Upton, Natalie McBride of Mendon, Lyle Hamm of Northbridge, and Brian Hamm of Grafton; a brother, Michael Masny of Quincy; nine great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Peter, Nicholas, Joseph, and John Marsney and Anne Powers.

Service Details
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11, 2007 from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, Milford Street, Upton.
Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Boston will follow at 2 p.m.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the mass on Friday.
