Mark L. Johnson, 53, of Upton, died Friday, September 7, 2007 in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. He was the husband of Tina L. (Jones) Johnson and a systems engineer for Sun Microsystems.
Mr. Johnson was born in Brockton, a son of Herbert A. and Jean A. (Wilkie) Johnson of Plymouth. He was a 1973 graduate of Taconic High School in Pittsfield and a U. S. Coast Guard veteran of the Vietnam War. He had lived in Plymouth for many years and then in Atlanta, GA before coming to Upton about ten years ago.
In addition to his parents and his wife of 33 years, he leaves four daughters, Kerri Johnson of Waterford, NY, and Holly, Katie, and Jillian Johnson, all of Upton; two brothers, Herbert "Skip" Johnson of Naples, FL and Paul Johnson of Plymouth; and a sister, Betty Munschy of Londonderry, NH.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America.

Funeral services Wednesday, September 12, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home
with Rev. John Betit of Saint John's Episcopal Church in Sutton officiating.
Cremation will follow.
Calling hours at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
