UPTON- Marjorie A. (Chapdelaine) Keniston, 80, of Upton, died Friday, October 28, 2005, in Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation in Northbridge.
She leaves her husband of 49 years, Donald R. "Doug" Keniston; one daughter, Lorraine G. "Lorrie" Loeper and her husband, David; and two grandchildren, Whitney Christine and Curtis Robert Loeper, all of Upton. She was also the mother of Robert Lowell Keniston, an infant son who died in 1959. Additional survivors include two brothers, G. Ronald Chapdelaine of Northborough and Robert Chapdelaine of Oswego, NY; one sister, Helen Shumway of Northborough; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Dorothy Boudette, Ruth Chase, and Grace Moody.
Mrs. Keniston was born in Framingham, a daughter of the late George and Myrtle (Lewis) Chapdelaine. She was raised in Northborough and was a graduate of Northborough High School in 1942 and the Worcester Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. A registered nurse, she worked for Hahnemann Hospital, Bay State Abrasives, and for Dr. C. W. Aussenheimer in addition to working as a school nurse at Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in Upton from 1965 until she retired in 1988.
Throughout her lifetime, Marjorie was active in the Upton United Methodist Church and the United Parish of Upton, teaching Sunday school, making candy and her favorite fudge for fall fairs, and serving as church treasurer. Additionally, she was a Girl Scout leader for her daughter's troop for many years and was a member of the Upton Historical Society and the Northborough High School Alumni Association.

in the United Parish Church, Central Square, Upton.
Burial in Lakeview Cemetery.
