Marion Ann Merrigan

UPTON - Marion Ann Merrigan, 87, aunt of Michael Merrigan of Upton, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 in Milford Regional Medical Center after an illness.
Born in New York City, Miss Merrigan was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Quill) Merrigan. She worked for the Catholic Near East Welfare Association of the Archdiocese of New York in New York City for 40 years, retiring about 20 years ago. She came to Upton from New York three years ago and had been a resident of the former Upton Nursing Center before moving to Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center of Milford last year. A devout Catholic and daily communicant, she loved art and enjoyed painting.
In addition to her nephew in Upton, she leaves one niece, Debra Merrigan Luft of Oradell, NJ, and three other nephews, James Merrigan of Arlington, VA, William Merrigan of St. Paul, MN, and John Merrigan of Rye, NH. She was the sister of the late William J. Merrigan of Marblehead, who died in 1988.
with a mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, Milford Street, Upton.
Burial in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.
