Marie (Emmott) Tessmer

Marie (Emmott) Tessmer, 79, of Upton, died late Tuesday, October 31, in Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford, where she was a patient for several days. She was the beloved wife of William J. Tessmer, who died in 1989.
Mrs. Tessmer was born in Woonsocket, RI, a daughter of the late Russell H. and Muriel (Kent) Emmott. She lived in Natick and Mendon before coming to Upton many years ago. She was a graduate of the Walnut Hill School in Natick and the former Garland Junior College, now Simmons College in Boston. She worked at Sylvania Electric before becoming a homemaker and was a member of the Upton Historical Society and many other civic organizations.
She leaves one son, William J. Tessmer, Jr. of Upton; a sister, Jean E. Davis of Barrington, RI; a niece and nephews.
