Marie A. (Dion) Bowman

Marie A. (Dion) Bowman, 86, formerly of Upton, died June 30 in Salem Hospital in Salem after a period of declining health. She was the widow of George W. Bowman, who died in 1958.
Mrs. Bowman was born in Lowell, a daughter of the late Alphee and Emma (Roy) Dion, and had lived in Upton for more than 50 years, where she was a communicant of Holy Angels Parish. She worked as a hat trimmer in the West Upton hat industry for many years, retiring in 1991.
She leaves one daughter, Margaret "Peg" Maroney of Peabody; 3 sons, George Bowman, Jr. of Shrewsbury, and Robert and James Bowman, both of Mooresville, NC; 3 sisters, Lena Legerholm of Millbury, and Mary Calnan and Rita Smith, both of Sutton; 3 brothers, Edward Dion of Webster, William Dion of Hadley, and Gene Dion of Windsor Locks, CT; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Service Details
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 3, at 1 p.m. in the funeral homewith Rev. Laurance Brault, pastor of Holy Angels Parish, officiating.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton.
