Margaret M. (Daunais) Rodwill

Margaret M. (Daunais) Rodwill, 88, of Mendon, died Saturday, February 3, 2007, in the Geriatric Authority of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the widow of Vincent Rodwill, who died in 1975.
Mrs. Rodwill was born in Milford, one of 16 children of the late Joseph and Alma (Champlain) Daunais. She worked at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale, Kartiganer Hat Co. in West Upton, Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge, and at several other area companies before retiring many years ago. She lived many years in Upton before moving to Mendon about 20 years ago and was a former member of the Upton Bloomer Girls, the Upton Grange, and the State Grange. She was also a communicant of Holy Angels Parish, had been active in the Upton Women's Bowling League for several years, and was an award-winning participant in Nipmuc Rod and Gun Club archery events.
She leaves one daughter, Peggy Phipps, and her husband Howard of Mendon; four grandchildren, Howard F. Phipps, Jr. and his wife Dollene, Charles V. Phipps, and Joyce J. Phipps, all of Mendon, and Joseph T. Phipps and his wife Wendy of Whitinsville; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.
