Margaret A. "Peggy" (Deluca) Libbey, 67, of Upton, died Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford. Active in Upton town boards and organizations, she was a popular and well-known local figure.
Peggy was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Delle Femine) Deluca. She graduated from North High School in Worcester and attended Quinsigamond Community College and Salter Secretarial School. She worked as an administrative assistant for the state Department of Mental Retardation for many years, retiring about two years ago. She previously worked at a variety of local businesses, including the Telegram & Gazette, Pine Ridge Country Club, Nahra Bus Company, and DJ's Diner.
A communicant of Holy Angels Parish (now St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish) in Upton, she was a charter member of the Upton Bloomer Girls, and a member of the Red Hat Society. She currently served on the Upton Housing Authority and the Council on Aging, and had been a Board of Health agent and poll worker in Upton.
She leaves one son, Sean Libbey; her sister, Rita Deluca; and an aunt, Teresa "Sis" Bucciaglia, all of Worcester; and many, many friends.

Service Details
Funeral services will be held from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home,
45 Main Street, Upton, on Wednesday, October 19th, with a funeral mass
at 11 a.m. in St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon Street, Upton.
Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Worcester.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, October 18th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
