Lawrence R. "Larry" Hart, Sr., 79, of Upton, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northboro after a long illness. He was the husband of Beverly B. (Norton) Hart. His first wife, Marion (Kane) Hart, died in 1965.
Mr. Hart was born in Bath, ME, a son of the late Andrew B. and Dorothy M. (Oliver) Hart. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and lived many years in Ashland, Framingham, and Upton.
He worked at General Motors in Framingham for 40 years and held positions from working on the assembly line to supervisor in the paint and water testing departments, retiring in 1986. In his retirement, he worked part time at Tasty Treat in Ashland and delivered Meals on Wheels for the Upton Senior Center. A communicant of Holy Angels Parish in Upton and a member of the GM Salaried Retirees Club, he volunteered for church fund raising events and enjoyed gardening, stone work, and being with his family.
In addition to his wife of 39 years, he leaves six children, Lonnie Hart and his wife Sherry of Ashland, Ray Hart and his wife Pamela of Holliston, Karen McLaughlin and her husband Earl of Franklin, Fred Hart and his wife Lonni of Milford, Jeffrey Hart of Exeter, NH, and Lysa Dell'Aquila and her husband Michael of Oxford; two sisters, Marie Hersom of Kittery, ME and Dorothy Durrell of Bath, ME; 13 grandchildren, Kari Rowland, Kristine, Kyle, Brandon, and Cara Hart, Tracy Powers, Timothy and Cassie McLaughlin, Brenda Pantalone, and Brea, Brent, Hannah, and Tyler Dell'Aquila; and 7 great-grandchildren, Haley Costello, Michaela Tremblay, Kaylee and Dylan Powers, and Rocco, Jayden, and Gianna Pantalone.
He was also the brother of the late Robert, Andrew, and Joseph Hart, all formerly of ME.

Service Details
Funeral services Monday, February 12, 2007 from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, 1 Milford Street, Upton.
Burial will be at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
