Kenneth L. Latimore, 76, of Upton, died Monday, January 2, 2012 in his home after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was the husband of Judith A. (Haight) Latimore, to whom he was married for 54 years.
Mr. Latimore was born in Northbridge, the son of the late Louis Latimore and Ida (Guyette) Babbitt. He was a lifelong Upton resident who served with the National Guard and earned a business degree from Brandeis University. He worked as a supervisor at Fenwal in Ashland for 27 years and was the owner of the Upton Country Store and Antique Center from 1992 to 2002. He was a member of the Advent Christian Church of Oxford.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Rev. Kenneth L. Latimore, Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Aurora, IL, and Rev. Allen Latimore and his wife Catherine of Torrington, CT; a daughter, Darlene Waterhouse and her husband Robert of Charlton; a sister, Carol Clark and her husband David of Upton; four grandchildren, Kelly, Keith, Kristin, and James Latimore; a nephew, Scott Clark; and a niece, Wendy Clark. He was also the stepson of the late Samuel Babbitt.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Blaire House Adult Care, 20 Claflin Street, Milford 01757.
Service Details
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6th, at 1 p.m.
in the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton,
with the Rev. Robert Copeland officiating.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are prior to the service on Friday
from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
