Karen M. (Marais) Scott, 58, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in Milford Regional Medical Center after a motor vehicle accident. She was the wife of Allan J. Scott and had lived in Upton for 25 years.
Mrs. Scott was born in Lowell, a daughter of the late Albert G. and Susan T. (Lamb) Marais. She graduated from Lowell High School and was a certified nursing assistant at the former Upton Nursing Center for many years.
In addition to her husband of 25 years, she leaves a daughter, Jennifer Francis and her husband Christopher of Woonsocket, RI; a son, Joseph Scott of Upton; four brothers, Richard Marais and his wife Patricia of Tyngsboro, Paul Marais and his wife Jeanne and David Marais and his wife Joan, all of Lowell, and Jon Marais of St. Petersburg, FL; three sisters, Diane Stockton of Manchester, NH, Joyce Marais of Lowell, and Christine Cue and her husband Jeff of Chester, NH; a grandson, CJ Francis; two aunts; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Stephen, Michael, and Albert Marais.
