Joseph Patrick Flynn

Joseph P. Flynn, 87, of Whitinsville, died Friday, December 24, 2010 in Beaumont Skilled Nursing & Rehab. Center in Northbridge after a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Blanche E. (Williams) Flynn, who died on Christmas Day, 1986.
Mr. Flynn was born in Tewksbury, the son of the late Mary Ellen Flynn. He lived in Upton for most of his life and had served with the National Guard. He was a janitor for Bay State Abrasives in Westboro for 34 years, retiring in 1986. He had also worked at the former Kartiganer and Lish hat companies and was a communicant of Holy Angels Parish in Upton.
He leaves one son, Robert J. Flynn of Whitinsville; three daughters, Patricia Mazzuchelli of Northbridge, Carol Flynn of Milford, and Bonnie Hendrick of Arlington; a stepson, Gerald Willard of Burlington, VT; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Maureen Thistle.
45 Main Street, Upton, with a Mass of Christian Burial
at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, 1 Milford Street, Upton.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
