Jerry A. (Priode) Bettano

Jerry A. (Priode) Bettano, 67, of Mendon, died Friday evening, July 20, 2007 in Franklin Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin after a long illness. She was the wife of James J. Bettano, to whom she was married for 46 years.
Mrs. Bettano was born in Williamson, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Peter and Matilda (Mosby) Priode. She grew up in West Virginia and had lived in Lynn for many years before coming to Mendon ten years ago. She was a waitress at the Marriott in Newton for 38 years, retiring five years ago.
In addition to her husband, she leaves one son, James J. Bettano, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Mendon; a brother, Lawrence Priode of Parkersburg, WV; one sister, Cathy Bartham of Barboursville, WV; and two grandchildren, Katie and Michael Bettano of Mendon.

At her request, cremation will follow.
Calling hours at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
