After a long and courageous battle with breast cancer, Jennifer (Clatur) Cinelli, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the age of 50.
Jen was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on November 23, 1970, to parents Dianne and Clay. A 1988 graduate of Framingham North High School, where she played lacrosse and soccer, Jen went on to study marketing and retail at Syracuse University, making lifelong friends as a member of Alpha Phi sorority. After graduating from Syracuse in 1992, Jen worked at Eddie Bauer and later married fellow Syrucuse alum and “best friend” Anthony Cinelli.
By far, Jen’s greatest joy in life was being a fulltime mom. She loved every moment with her daughters, from planning legendary birthday parties to cheering them on at their many sporting events. She also cherished time with Anthony and her girls on tropical beach vacations to the U.S. Virgin Islands, where they made wonderful memories together. An avid scrapbooker, Jen enjoyed preserving those experiences in the Shutterfly books that will remain as gifts to her family and remind them of joyful times they shared on their laughter-filled adventures. Jen also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her many friends.
Jen’s optimistic and sunny spirit touched the lives of everyone around her, from her family and friends to the doctors at Dana Farber who cared for her through her nine-year battle with cancer. Diagnosed in 2012, Jen was a brave warrior who beat her initial cancer only to have it return in 2015. Throughout her difficult journey, Jen was dauntless in her positivity and her passion for life. She was loved by all who knew her because she always saw and brought out the best in everyone, and she was selfless in her dedication to both family and friends.
Anyone who knew Jen knows she was an incredibly devoted daughter, wife, and mother. She was predeceased by her mother, Dianne and is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Cinelli and daughters, Allison (16) and Amanda (14), as well as father, Clay and brother, Scott. Jen leaves behind a beautiful legacy of perpetual kindness and positivity that will not be dimmed by her death but remembered and carried on by all whose lives she touched.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, November 18, in the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton.
Her funeral service will take place Friday, November 19, at 10AM, in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 183 West Main Street, Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westborough.
Facial coverings are required while in the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute www.dana-farber.org and Whitinsville Christian School www.whitinsvillechristian.org. In addition to donations, if you wish to send flowers, Jen has requested flowers to be pink.
