Jeffrey M. Cunningham, 39, of Milford, died early Friday, May 4, 2012 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. For the past 10 years, he owned and operated the Specialty Beer Shop in Amsterdam, Holland, the Netherlands, until returning to the U.S. last November to be with his family during his illness.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Elizabeth Fairest (Hart) Shannon of Milford and the late William O. Cunningham. A 1991 graduate of the electrical program at Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in Upton, he served briefly with the Army National Guard, and then earned an associate's degree in Biotechnology from Mass Bay Community College in 1998, a bachelor's degree with high honors in Biochemistry from Brandeis University in 2001, and a master's degree from the University of Amsterdam.
In addition to his mother and his stepfather, Donald Shannon of Milford, he leaves two sisters, Jayme Hurd of Milford and Shannon Crites of Canton, OH; a brother, Matthew Wingle of Albuquerque, NM; his stepmother, Betty Armstrong of Mendon; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

in the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton,
followed by cremation.
