Jean E. (Whitney) McAuliffe, 83, of Uxbridge, died early Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Westborough after a long illness. She was the widow of James McAuliffe, who died in 1983 after 32 years of marriage.
Mrs. McAuliffe was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Wilfred B. and Inez (Wood) Whitney. She grew up in Whitinsville and had lived in Uxbridge since 1988. A graduate of Northbridge High School and Becker Junior College in Worcester, she was the personnel manager for the former Ethyl Corporation in South Grafton for many years until retiring in 1988.
She leaves one son, Michael McAuliffe and his wife Doreen of Upton; two daughters, Betty Ann Nickerson and her husband Brad of Uxbridge, and Wendy Forleo of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, Jessie Piscatelli of Millbury, Cody Nickerson of Uxbridge, and Justin and Kyle Forleo of Louisville; and two great-grandchildren, Braelyn and Giana Piscatelli of Millbury.

Service Details
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 3, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
Private burial will take place later in Maplewood Cemetery in Upton.
