Irene E. (Daubney) Duhamel, 94, formerly of Upton and Westerly, RI, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in St. Camillus Health Center in Northbridge after a period of declining health. She was the widow of Eugene A. Duhamel, who died in 1971.
Mrs. Duhamel was born in Northbridge, the last surviving of seven children of the late Henry and Ethel (Culley) Daubney. She was a graduate of Northbridge High School and had worked at the former Kartiganer hat shop in West Upton and then at Imco Container Co. in So. Grafton, and finally at the Fair department store in Milford before moving to Westerly in 1991. She had been a member of the Rainbow Girls in Whitinsville, Eastern Star in Upton, and was a former chaplain of the George L. Wood VFW Auxiliary in Upton.
She leaves two daughters, Judith Class of Vernon, VT, and Doreen Sannicandro and her husband David of Milford; five grandchildren, Mark, Kevin, and Brian Wright, Jean Shawlis, and Aimee Sannicandro; and three great-grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Shawlis and Jenna Devine. She was predeceased by her son, Leslie E. Duhamel; four brothers, Leslie, Sidney, Harry, and Philip Daubney; and two sisters, Doris Bowen and Thelma Daubney.

Service Details
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17 at 11 a.m.
in the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be from 10 to 11 a.m.
prior to the service on Saturday.
