Herbert Clifton Phylis, Jr., 77, of Upton, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 20, 1946 to the late Herbert C. Phylis, Sr. and Priscilla Phylis (Felch) in Natick, MA. and graduated from Natick High School. He lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
He was a beloved family member, friend, and colleague who touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, compassion, humor, strength, and the countless ways he made a positive impact on those around him.
Herbert had a deep love for golf. He would often tee off with his wife, son, and friends, spending sunny afternoons on the green, creating lasting memories, and enjoying the camaraderie that the sport brought.
In addition to golf, he also had a passion for hunting and fishing. These outdoor pursuits allowed him to connect with nature and embrace the thrill of the hunt or the tranquility of casting his line into the water. These moments brought him joy and a sense of peace.
Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren. He relished in their laughter, embraced their curiosity, and imparted wisdom through the stories he shared. The bond he had with his grandchildren was a testament to his nurturing and loving nature.
Throughout his life, Herbert demonstrated a strong sense of devotion to his loved ones. He cherished family gatherings and created a welcoming environment where everyone felt valued and loved. He was a source of strength, guidance, and unconditional love, and his presence will forever be missed.
Herbert was known as a true gentleman, and his kindness was well-known to all. He had a remarkable ability to make others feel special and valued. Herbert is preceded in death by his beloved brother Richard Perk and sister Betsy Kelley. They shared a special bond and their memories will forever hold a cherished place in the hearts of those who loved them.
Herbert's legacy lives on through his cherished family, including his spouse Patricia Tina Phylis (Ferrari), his son Brad Herbert Phylis, his daughter-in-law Alycia Rose Phylis (Aube), and his adored grandchildren Indigo B Phylis and Austin James Phylis. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured.
At this time, there will not be a service held to celebrate Herbert's life. The family appreciates your love, support, and understanding during this difficult time.
