Harold W. Coakley, 88, of Upton and formerly of Newton and Kissimmee, FL, died Saturday, July 15, 2017 after an illness. He was the husband of Gloria J. (Magnarelli) Coakley.
Mr. Coakley was born in Newton, a son of the late Daniel J. and Cecilia (Mullahey) Coakley. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and the chef/owner of restaurants in Millis, Waltham and Orlando, FL before retiring. He came to Upton from FL a year ago.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, he leaves one daughter, Donna Coakley-McGowan and her husband Mark McGowan of Upton; two grandchildren, Madison and Michael McGowan of Upton; two brothers, Eugene Coakley of Framingham and Raymond Coakley of Natick; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son John, brothers Daniel and Robert Coakley, and a sister Irene Blackington.

Service Details
Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held
Monday, July 24 from 6 to 8 p.m.
in the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 25
in the chapel of St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon St., Upton.
Burial with military honors will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
