Genevieve M. (Grenier) Laczka

Genevieve M. (Grenier) Laczka, of Upton, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 83 years old. Her husband of 51 years, Thaddeus J. Laczka, passed on October 24, 1994.
She leaves two sons, Thaddeus J. Laczka, Jr. of Palm Coast, FL, and Brian P. Laczka, Sr. of Upton; one daughter, Linda Mae Allie of Bellingham; a brother, Donald Grenier of Lebanon, PA; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Rose Pasiczniak and Robert, Arthur, and Edward Grenier.
Mrs. Laczka was born in Uxbridge, a daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Lachapelle) Grenier. She worked at Stanley Woolen Mills in Uxbridge, Timex Company in Framingham, and retired from Fenwal Corp. in Ashland in 1990. She had lived in Upton for the past 40 years where she was an active member of Holy Angels Parish. She enjoyed knitting and was an avid polka enthusiast, teaching the art of polka dancing to many throughout her life. The most enjoyable and important part of her life was spending time with all of her family and catching up on old times with her friends.

Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, North Main Street, Upton.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31, from the funeral home, with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, 1 Milford Street, Upton.Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, North Main Street, Upton.
