Francis L. Bouthiette, 84, a lifelong Upton resident, died Monday, November 8, 2010 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester after an illness. He was a self-employed carpenter and builder, and the husband of the late Alice R. (Oakham) Bouthiette, who died in 2005.
Mr. Bouthiette was born in Upton, a son of the late Ernest and Mary (Paille) Bouthiette. He was a World War II Navy veteran, who served in the South Pacific on the submarine tender USS Apollo AS-25. An active member, past commander, and trustee of the George L. Wood VFW Post, he was instrumental in building the post's handicapped ramp. He was also a communicant of Holy Angels Parish and a member of the Upton Men's Bowling League.
He leaves two daughters, Nancy McDonnell and her husband George of Upton, and Bonnie Bouthiette of Manville, RI; a brother, Norman Bouthiette of Indiana; three grandchildren, Stacie Galicki of Upton, Patrick McDonnell of Whitinsville, and Monica Gagnon of Cumberland, RI; three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Andrew, and Kevin Galicki of Upton; his sister-in-law, Winona Bouthiette of Upton; his extended family and many friends. He was also the brother of the late Richard, Ernest, and Omer Bouthiette.

Service Details
Funeral services will take place from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home on
Friday, November 19, 2010 with a funeral mass at 10 a.m.
in Holy Angels Church, Milford Street, Upton.
Burial with military honors will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, November 18, from 5 to 8 p.m.
