Forrest N. Adams III, age 90, of Brockton, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 26, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. He is the husband of Ann (Veilus) Adams, who passed away December 27, 2023. Forrest was previously married to Patricia Adams, the mother of his three children.

He was born in Newton, MA, to the late Forrest and Ann (Clarke) Adams, and is survived by his brother Peter Adams and his wife Margie of Fredericksburg, VA, and his sister Ann Harley of Arlington, VA.

Forrest is survived by his loving children: Forrest Adams and Deana Hodel of Woonsocket, RI, Mark Adams and his wife Christine of Rochester, NY, and Terry Dmohowski of Upton, MA. He was Uncle to Peter John and Matthew Adams. He was Papa to 11 grandchildren: Nathan, Carolyn, Colleen, Tessa, Jill, Jennifer, Gabriel, Phillip, Cara, Jenna, and Kaitlyn; and to 17 great-grandchildren.

Forrest served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955.

He was a musician with a deep love for music, especially jazz, and was a DJ for over 30 years with WBET Jazz radio. He also worked in security for many years.

Forrest loved Boston sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots.

He was a beloved man who took great pride in his family. His love, dedication, and wonderful sense of humor will be remembered always.

His funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, in the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main St. Upton.  A committal service with military honors will take place at 2:00 P.M. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave, Bourne.

Calling hours are from 4 to 7 P.M. on Monday, January 8, in the funeral home.
