Eva P. Fowler, 73, of Upton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2023, with her husband by her side. She is the beloved wife of Glenn H. Fowler.
Born to the late Henry and Rita (Raymond) Migneault, she grew up in Northboro and attended private schools in Marlboro. As a Girl Scout, Eva was chosen each year to recite In Flanders Fields at Northboro's Memorial Day ceremony. She was a devoted housewife and mother. Eva loved volunteering at school in the library, was a den mother for cub scouts, and volunteered to work many events for school. Upon entering the workforce at Digital Equipment Corporation in 1978, she worked her way up to Finance Manager and merged several areas into one coordinated area for all of Digital Accounts Payable. Eva retired after 15 years to care for her mother and followed several other areas of interest. She worked for a short time as a realtor and a project coordinator for a local builder. Eva also worked in the Upton Treasurer Collector's Office during the transition to new collector for Upton. She volunteered as an Upton Cable TV Producer for many years and on the Upton Cable Commission during negotiations for a new contract. She was also a member of Upton Conservation Commission and was a Registrar of Voters for many years. Eva's family was most important to her and she spent many hours with them. She enjoyed nature and reading immensely. Eva was an editor for Birds and Blooms Magazine and her home was a certified wildlife habitat. Her love of books was her retreat to a world of mystery and intrigue. Eva will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.
In addition to her husband, she lives on through her son Michael of Boxborough, MA; her daughter, Michelle and her husband, Michael of Fairbanks, AK; three grandchildren, Stephanie of Hinesburg, VT, Stanley of Rochester, NY, and Stacey of Fairbanks, AK; her brother Anthony "Tony" and his wife Ellen of Monson, MA; a sister-in-law, Ruth of Grafton, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
