Estelle V. (Thompson) Coleman

May 24, 1925 — September 24, 2013

Estelle V. (Thompson) Coleman, 88, of Natick, died peacefully surrounded by her family in her daughter's home in Upton after a long battle with cancer. She was the widow of Sherwood A. Coleman, who died in 1996 after 50 years of marriage.

Mrs. Coleman was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, a daughter of the late Arnold C. and Kathleen J. (Benedict) Thompson, who brought her to the United States at age 3. A resident of Natick since 1949, she had been a hat maker for the former Lish Brothers hat company in Framingham and then worked many years in retail sales. Devoted to her family, she enjoyed cooking and reading. She loved being near the ocean and enjoyed many summers at Brant Rock in Marshfield.

She leaves a daughter, Karen Intinarelli and her husband Paul of Upton; a son, Arthur Coleman and his wife Barrie of Scenery Hill, PA; 5 grandchildren, Mitchell Intinarelli of Sutton, Marnie Foley of Upton, Deryn Donovan of Auburn, Ashley Weigand of Pittsburgh, PA, and Sabrina Tiru of Clinton; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Service Details

A memorial service will be held
Sunday, September 29, at 3 p.m.
in Community Covenant Church, 2 West Elm Street, Hopkinton.

Private burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.

At her request, there are no calling hours.
