Eloise J. (Dubuc) Carr, 85, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 in Knollwood Nursing Center in West Boylston after a long period of declining health. She was the widow of Edward J. Carr, who died in 2004 after 61 years of marriage.
Mrs. Carr was born in Norwood, a daughter of the late Adhemar and Mary Ann (Shepard) Dubuc, and was a graduate of Westwood High School who attended Framingham State College. She lived in Westwood and then in Yarmouthport for many years. She worked in the business office and as a substitute teacher for the Westwood Public Schools for several years and was a member of St. Margaret Mary's Sodality in Westwood. An avid golfer, she participated in the Bass River Women's Golf League and the BMWs Tuesday golf group, and was a member of the Pensacola Golf Club. She also was affiliated with 4-H for many years and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
She leaves two sons, Joseph C. Carr of North Port, FL, and Paul C. Carr of Sturbridge; one daughter, Denise A. Vassel of Upton; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Edward "Ned" Carr and the sister of the late Agnes Piedzewick.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29,
from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton,
with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church,
1 Milford Street, Upton.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
