Elise M. "Sal" (Toomey) Moir

Elise M. "Sal" (Toomey) Moir, 84, of Upton, died Monday, July 21, 2008 in Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center in Northbridge after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of George A. Moir, to whom she was married for 56 years.
Mrs. Moir was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Kenneth D. and Mary A. (Crane) Toomey, and was a graduate of Commerce High School. She had lived in Upton for 50 years. A devout Catholic, she was a daily communicant of Holy Angels Parish, a former member of the parish Altar Sodality and CCD instructor, and a member of a secular Carmelite Order (OCDS).
In addition to her husband, she leaves four children, Elise M. Elbrecht and her husband Martin of Lake Peekskill, NY, Allan K. Moir and his wife Donna of Kennebunkport, ME, G. Andrew Moir and his wife Andrea of Surry, ME, and Denise Smith and her husband Robert of Upton; and six grandchildren, Andrew and Thomas Elbrecht of Lake Peekskill, Amanda and Amber Moir of Surry, and Cameron and Madeline Smith of Upton. She was also the mother of the late John R. Moir, who died in August 2000, and the sister of the late James Toomey.

Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.

Service Details
Funeral services will be held Thursday from the funeral home,with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, Milford Street, Upton.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
