UPTON - Eleanor R. (Killian) Broderick, 84, of Upton, died Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Milford Regional Medical Center after she was stricken ill at home. A retired schoolteacher, she was the widow of Richard T. Broderick, who died in 1976 after 31 years of marriage.
Mrs. Broderick was born in Boston, a daughter of the late William F. and Margaret (Nolan) Killian. She was a member of the Class of 1939 of Boston Girls Latin High School and taught fourth-grade at Milford Catholic Elementary School in Milford for 26 years, retiring about 20 years ago. She then worked as a substitute teacher at Milford Catholic Elementary and in the Mendon-Upton school system for several years.
She was a faithful communicant of Holy Angels Parish, a member of the Upton Historical Society, a Registrar of Voters in Upton, and had previously served on the Upton Housing Authority. Well-known and active in the Democratic Party, she was a delegate to the Democratic State Convention.
She leaves one son, Richard T. Broderick, Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Upton; a sister, Louise V. Sullivan of Watertown; and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also the sister of the late Dorothy P. Killian and Marguerite A. Leary.

Funeral services Wednesday, March 29, 2006 from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, Milford St., Upton.
Burial in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.
Calling hours at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
