Edward C. St. Andre, 90, a long-time resident of Upton, went home to the Lord on Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Milford Regional Medical Center after a short illness. He was the husband of Dorothy M. (Finnegan) St. Andre for 68 years.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Sandra Bartlett, wife of Art Bartlett of Uxbridge; a granddaughter, Pennie Peterson and husband Terry of Dracut; a grandson, Jeffrey Bartlett of Marlborough; four great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Bartlett, Jr. of Worcester, Jessica Bartlett of Somersworth, NH, and Meaghan and Justin Peterson of Dracut; and two great-great grandchildren, Olivia and Jace of Somersworth, NH.
Ed was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the George L. Wood VFW Post. For most of his adult life, he worked at state DPW facilities in Upton, Sturbridge, and Millbury. In partnership with his brother-in-law, Harvey Boulay, he ran the Ed & Harvey Rubbish Disposal Co. for over 40 years. He was elected to the Upton Board of Health for several terms and following retirement continued serving the community working at the Upton transfer station.
Ed enjoyed music and loved singing as a member of the Worcester Men of Song for many years. His passion was old-time music and television shows.

Service Details
Funeral services will be held Wednesday
from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton,
with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in
St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon Street.
Following cremation, burial with military honors will be
in Lakeview Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m.
