Dorothy “Dottie” Jasukonis, 61, of Oxford and formerly of Worcester, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Monday, April 26, 2021 at her home. She is the beloved wife to the late David M. Jasukonis, Sr., who passed away in 1999.
Born in Augustow, Poland, she was a daughter of Teresa (Wrobel) Klimaszewski, and the late Edward Klimaszewski. She was raised in Worcester after her family came to the United States in 1964 and graduated from St. Mary’s Jr./Sr. High School.
She was employed for 32 years as an Executive Administrator to the Commissioner of Public Health for the City of Worcester as well as Secretary to the Worcester Board of Health. After retiring from the City of Worcester, she decided to continue working as an Administrative Assistant for Guertin Graphics in Worcester where she has been employed since 2013.
Dottie had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed crocheting, camping in the Florida Keys, going on bike rides, and enjoyed every moment she spent with her children and her cherished grandson, Camden.
In addition to her mother, Teresa, she is survived by her two children, Michelle Jasukonis of Rutland, and David Jasukonis, Jr. and his girlfriend Michelle Willette, of Shrewsbury; her grandson, Camden Quinn of Rutand; her siblings, Jeffrey Klimaszewski and his wife Patricia, of Princeton, Mark Klimasewski of Utah, Diane Stonefield and her husband Anthony, of Cape Town, South Africa, and Elaine Goldman and her husband Tyler, of San Francisco, CA; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 3, in Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, 34 Ward St. Worcester. A seating capacity will be implemented and once the capacity has been reached, her funeral Mass can be viewed via www.olcworcester.com.
Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 PM on Sunday, May 2, in Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish.
Facial coverings and social distancing are required while inside the church and at the cemetery. Please refrain from any physical contact with the family.
