Doris B. (Daubney) Bowen, 93, of Upton, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 after a long illness. She was the widow of John F. "Red" Bowen, who died in 2010.
Mrs. Bowen was born in London, England, a daughter of the late Henry and Ethel (Culley) Daubney. She came to the U.S. as a young child and had lived in Upton over 60 years. She worked at the former Kartiganer hat company in West Upton and then at Bullard Abrasives in Westborough for many years.
She leaves two daughters, Lynne May and her husband Robert of Oakham, and Ethel Pirie and her husband Stephen of Northbridge; two sisters, Irene Duhamel and Thelma Daubney of Westerly, RI; a granddaughter, Jennifer Seward and her husband David of Northbridge; and two great-grandchildren, Alexa and Jayden Seward. She was also the sister of the late Sidney, Leslie, Harry, and Philip Daubney.

Service Details
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.
